Exacting Success
IntriMed employs the most advanced scientific tools and processes available, from nanometer scale measurement to fully plastic FEA analysis, to ensure our products meet our customers criteria for success...and then some. And when the right tool or process doesnt exist, we develop it; resulting in several custom testing methods to validate the achievement of our customers, and our own, exacting specifications.
Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS)
IntriMed uses SEM and EDS routinely to uncover minute details that affect product performance in a large way, from surface structure to the atomic composition of embedded particles. Since final quality is crucial to products intended for patient use, IntriMed has also developed custom metrologies using this platform to accurately assess key quality metrics.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
FEA is an important tool that bridges conceptualization and physical prototyping, enabling our engineers to converge on a solution before spending valuable time and resources on physical testing. Capabilities include plastic deformation, contact and friction, dynamic analyses, and thermal loading.
Additional Testing
IntriMed makes use of an extensive array of analytical tools to complement these methods, including:
- Tensile and Insertion Force
- Liquid Particle Count (LPC)
- Atomic Absorption (AA)
- Ion Chromatography (IC)
- Laser Doppler Vibrometry
- Passivation Testing
- Torque Testing
